About

Hailing from Clayton, Georgia, Ethan Phillips is a singer-songwriter whose sound is deeply rooted in the traditions of the Northeast Georgia Mountains. Raised on country, gospel, and bluegrass, Phillips developed an early appreciation for the music, an influence that remains evident in his traditional yet contemporary storytelling.

After participating in the 2018 Grand Ole Opry’s WSM Radio Road Show, Phillips moved to Nashville in 2019. Since then, his career has seen a steady ascent, featuring performances at legendary venues like the Bluebird Cafe and Ernest Tubb’s Midnight Jamboree, as well as appearances alongside iconic acts like Sawyer Brown.

In 2026, Phillips saw a massive surge in his digital footprint with a track, “A Dog’s Best Friend” co-written by Justin Dukes and Jarrett Hartness. The song, written from the unique perspective of a childhood dog, resonated deeply with listeners, garnering over 2.2 million views across Instagram and TikTok. This viral success highlights Phillips’ ability to blend classic country sensibilities—like the acoustic warmth of his favorite country and folk icons—with modern, relatable narratives.

With music featured on programs like Larry’s Country Diner and RFD-TV, and songwriting credits for rising artists like Cole Goodwin, Phillips has established himself as a versatile force in Music City. He remains a dedicated steward of country tradition, connecting with a global audience through the power of a well-told story.
